Congratulations Brad. You had my support because you work hard to collect the information necessary to make a good decision based on what other cities have done and what Alpine citizens want. I am frustrated with City Council members and committee members who ignore the feedback they get from citizens or are just too lazy to get good information, and feel they can just cast a vote or make plans on behalf of Alpine residents based on their own unsupported opinions.
Our city needs to do more research into what has worked elsewhere rather than reinventing the wheel. I also feel strongly that if something has a cost attached and enough citizens support it, the city should look seriously at the proposal, regardless of how city council members feel about it or about the cost.
I appreciate your conscientious efforts and your integrity.
